About Us

Protectoplas has a rich history spanning over seven decades, starting in 1950 when John L. Eberly founded the company in Bedford, Ohio. Originally established as Eberly Dynamics, it was later rebranded to Protective Plastics Company in the late 1950s. In the 1970s, the company relocated to downtown Cleveland and then moved again to Auburn Township, before finally settling in Streetsboro, Ohio, where we are currently based.

Our company is proud to be a three-generation, family-owned business. John’s son, John A., joined the team in the 1970’s, contributing significantly to its growth and legacy, and in the 1990’s, grandson, Zach, came on board and now manages the company’s daily operations. As a family-run organization, we remain committed to the same principles of quality, innovation, and service that were established by our founder over 70 years ago.
